Did you know Lego pieces can be used for more than creating models? LEGO Therapy is a LEGO®-based therapeutic approach for promoting emotional well-being in children. Participation in this program can help to boost self-esteem, address common issues such as anxiety and anger, support social development and build positive attachments. It has been specifically designed to focus on children’s strengths in a social context and to make learning fun.
The goals of LEGO® Therapy workshops for children with autism are to improve their motivation to initiate social contact with peers and to improve their ability to sustain inter-action with peers for a period of time. It can also be effective for children with anxiety disorders (especially social phobia), depression, or adjustment difficulties manifesting as depression or anxiety, including children with behaviour disorders, such as attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), or other externalizing disorders who could benefit from further social skill development.
Why not be among the first to allow your child(ren)/student(s) to benefit from the power of play while participating in a wide range of imaginative games and activities in this new LEGO Therapy program?
